Anthony and Kim's Wedding {Colorado Springs Wedding Photographer}

This whole family has come to be very special to me and I'm honored to have had the chance to shoot not one... but two wedding for them in the last year!

I met Anthony and Kim when my best friend Ronnie married Anthony's sister.

My first thought when I met them was "These two were made for eachother."

You can just stand back and watch them together and see that, not only are they head-over-heels for eachother... they are best friends too. You don't see that very often anymore.

Kim and Anthony- May every day you spend with eachother be as happy as the day you were married! Thank you for asking me to be a part of it! I hope you love the pictures as much as I do.

CONGRATULATIONS GUYS!!!!

This was honestly the sweetest Wedding that I've ever been too! Flora was absolutely radiant!And I had so much fun with you guys and all of your guests.

Thank you so much for being so patient during the last few weeks while I was moving. I'm almost finished with all of the pictues... just putting the final touches on the last of them.

I think they turned out amazing and I can't wait for you to see them.

Baby Hope- 6 months {Colorado Springs Baby Photographer}

Oh My Heck!
I can't get over how absolutely precious she is!
She's one of those babies that just makes you smile no matter what.
And she cracks me up with all of these expressions... one second she lost in concentration pondering whether she can sneak a flower into her mouth before her mom takes it away... the next she's giggling hysterically... and the next she's got her nose all scrunched up smiling... then back to the flower.
Every single picture I took (and I took a TON of pictures) has a different expression!

I had forgottent how much fun babies are at 6 months. And Little Miss Hope definatly made me want to hurry up and have another one!

Stacy- Thank you so much for calling and setting up the photoshoot. I had so much fun with her! Here are a few of my favorites... and I should have the rest up in the Gallery in a day or two. I hope they turned out to be exactly what you were looking for!

Kyndall & Rylie {Colorado Springs Family Photographer}

These two sisters were so much fun!

They were totally up for anything... and I had a blast taking pictures of them goofing off together.

Totally reminded me of me and my sister at that age (geez... that makes me sound old!)

HELLO UTAH!!!!

My mom is visiting family in Utah this week and she asked me to post a few family pictures so that everyone there can see.

So... for a change... Instead of posting pictures of everyone else and their families I figured I'd post some of me and my family! (Can you believe it? This is really out-side-the-box for me! I'm so used to being on the other side of the camera...)

I guess we should kick it off with the two that started this whole crazy side-show... Mom & Dad.

Since I'm the oldest (and the best... shhhhh... don't tell the other two) I'll go first. This is me and Kris. It's one of the very few pictures of both of us... at the same time... with no camera in my hand.
That doesn't happen often...

Cliffy comes next. As far as little brothers go... he's pretty stinkin' awesome! (Just don't tell him I said that... it'll go straight to his head!)
Kinda makes me glad that I didn't kill him all those times that I threatened to when we were kids!

And here's Clair-bear and her pretend husband Isaiah. They really are married but he's a Firefighter and works wacky hours so he's usually not around for family functions... and he's pretty hard to nail down for family pictures too. Hence the reason that this picture was taken about 2 years ago.
We're really gonna have to work on that!
Oh... and she's pretty cool for an obnoxious little sister too! Except I'm pretty sure we did kill her atleast once or twice growing up (I vaguely remember someone convincing her that if she roller skated off the roof holding an umbrella she could fly like Mary Poppins... Clifton!)
Lucky for us she's like the cat that came back! We never could get rid of her!

Here's my little Munchkin'... Miss Ciara! This was taken at a Wedding a few weeks ago. I know she looks all sweet and girlie... but there's a SERIOUS tom-boy lurking underneath that pretty dress. And she's onery as all get out!
THAT'S MY GIRL!

And Miss Tanny-nanny! This is Clair and Isaiah's little one. Hanging upside-down like that she looks like she'd follow right in her Cousin Ciara's footsteps... but nope! Not this one! She's all Girl and she'll be the first one to tell you that (usually with one hand on her hip... shaking a finger in your face.) She is definately Little Miss Personality!

And here's one of the two girlies together! I LOVE this picture!
If you didn't know they were cousins... you'd almost think they were sisters!

So that's all of us! The whole crazy bunch!

Well... I have to say... this is probably the most fun I've had on an Engagement shoot.

And I learned a TON about the Bosque!

These two took me to places I didn't even know existed along the river. And they were so laid back and easy going...

They were more then willing to try all of my crazy ideas... and look at the FABULOUS sunset shot that we got! Absolutely Beautiful!

Thank you both so much for hanging out with me in the heat. And thank you for humoring my 4 year old... even when she tried to arrest you for speeding. :)

I hope you guys LOVE the pictures as much as I do! And I can't wait for the Wedding in August! I just know that it's going to be amazing! (And I'm totally stoked about the Tractor idea! You guys ROCK!)

Introducing Mr. & Mrs. Quintana! {Colorado Springs Wedding Photographer}

I remember when Amber first called me to tell me that she had "met a boy and his name's Jake".

Kris and I used to tease her... all one of us had to do was say his name and her eyes would glaze over and she'd start to blush and get this goofy smile on her face!

And, after seeing them together a few times it was obvious that these two were made for eachother and it was just a matter of time before they realized that they were ment to spend the rest of their lives together.

I'm so excited to be able to say that I was there for that very first phone call... and I was there when they said their vows... and that, even after all of this time it's still crystal clear that these two are so in love with eachother!

As Amber was walking down the Aisle I turned around to snap a shot of the look on Jakes face as he saw his Bride for the first time and this is what I got....

It's my absolute favorite shot from the ENTIRE Wedding!

I'M SO EXCITED FOR YOU GUYS!!!!

I've photographed a lot of Weddings but this one was, by far, the sweetest! I'm at a loss for words.
There's just something about a very small, very intimate ceremony... I don't know how to explain it... It's almost like you can feel how much they really do love eachother. And there's no doubt that these two love eachother... you can see it in the way they look at eachother.

I've know 'Drea for a very long time and I don't think I've ever seen her this happy!

Congratulations to the both of you! I wish you a lifetime of love and laughter together!

Ronnie & Angela {Colorado Springs Engagement Photographer}

Hmmm... what can I say about Ronnie????

(Wait for it... wait for it... Eh, I guess I'll be nice... but just this once...)

In all honesty, I've know him for going on 13 years now and through thick and thin he has always been one of my closest friends. He and I have seen eachother through alot of terriably hard times and just as many wonderful times.
He's that guy... you know the one... you may not talk to him for 6 months or a year when life gets crazy but you know that he's always there no matter what and all you have to do is pick up the phone if you need him.

He is honestly one of the best friends that I have ever had! And I'm so happy that he's found such a wonderful person to fall in love with.

I'm just starting to get to know Angela but she seems like a genuinly sweet girl and I know that if Ronnie has fallen for her then she's got to be a great person.

Congratulations to the both of you on your Engagement! I wish you the best that love and life have to offer! I hope you love the pictures! The rest will be up in the gallery in a day or so.

Ducks don't fly south for the winter... {Colorado Springs Family Photographer}

And the UNM Duck Pond is actually quite pretty... even in late February!

Usually this time of year is pretty slow due to the weather.... but we had a really nice day last weekend, so Dee and her family and friends decided to give an outdoor photoshoot a shot.

After a short debate over whether Ducks fly south for the winter we settled on the UNM Duck Pond and headed out with our fingers crossed.

Lucky for us... as soon as arrived we were mobbed by whole herd of ducks (I know... ducks don't really travel in heards...) looking for bread... which we forgot. RATS!

But we did get some really good pictures!

Seana & Kevin {Colorado Springs Maternity Photographer}

This was a totally impromptu Maternity Shoot that we kinda threw togther on the spur of the moment on New Year's Day.

I'm so glad things worked out the way they did because... talk about "way to start out the New Year"! They turned out FANTASTIC!

Ofcourse, it's helps that these two were an absolutely adorable and totally up for anything.

And I got to practice with my studio lights (BONUS) thanks to the freezing cold weather. That hardly ever happens because almost all of my shoots are outside... so it was fun to kinda switch things up a bit.

I did, however, learn a valuable lesson... My lights go a little bit wonky when there is alot of static electricity involved. I'll definately remember that for next time!

So... without further adieu... Seana and Kevin (and baby Preslie in hiding).

So... doesn't she have the CUTEST little belly ever???

Thanks guys for making time to hang out and do some pictures with me! I hope you love them... and I can't wait to meet little Miss Preslie!

Whew... I'm beat...

As most of you know 2007 was my first official year in business. It was full of lots of unexpected surprises, challenges and new experiences!
And I learned a TON of fun new stuff!
And one of those new things is that the Photography busniess is absolute CRAZINESS through the Holidays! WHEW... I'm beat! And I had an absolute Blast!
Now that all of the Christmas Cards are designed and out and the Orders have all been proofed and picked up... I wanted to take a moment to breathe and say thank you to all of my Clients who have made the last minute photoshoots and wacky weather so much fun these last few months!

Last weekend I ended up doing a last minute shoot and I'm so glad that thing worked out the way they did!

This little boy is the cutest little guy ever!

I'm so used to girls (all... and I do mean all of my family and friends have girls) that it was so much fun to kinda change things up a bit.

Here are a few of my favorites... and since I had a little bit of extra time tonight I actually got the Gallery up early. BONUS!

WOW... just WOW! {Colorado Springs Newborn Photographer}

A few months ago I entered one of my photographs in the New York Institute of Photography's International Photo Contest.

The idea behind the contest was "Focus on your Hometown". And the catagory that I entered was "Faces in the Crowd".

I chose a photograph that has a very special meaning to me that I have very stong emotional ties to because this is the photograph that made me want to be a photographer.

As some of you know, my husband was in the Navy during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. During that time he was deployed to the Gulf several times. I was pregnant with our daughter during one of those Deployments and we weren't sure that he was going to make it home before she was born. Somehow he managed to get leave (thanks to a Master Cheif that I will forever be grateful to) and made it home a few days before she was born.

This picture was taken the night before he left to go back over seas and finish out his delopyment. Ciara was 4 days old.

From then on... everytime that Kris went to sea he took a copy of this picture with him because it reminded him of what he had to come home to.

About a week and a half ago I got an e-mail from the Contest Director saying that my photograph had been chosen as an Exhibition Winner in my Catagory! WOW!

So, my photograph along with the other Contest Winners (and there are some fantastic photographs from all over the world that were chosen) will be on display at 11 Madison Ave. in New York from October 22nd thru November 2nd!!!!

How exciting is that????

And what a huge honor! I'm still pretty new to the photography business and breaking into the professional market has been a challenge to say the least... but things like this make all of the hard work worth it!

So... I've been MIA for a while.

Things have been crazy busy for the last few weeks.

Here's the short and sweet version... just to catch ya'll up. I shot a Baptism for the sweetest little girl. I was absolutely in love with her teeny-tiny little pony tail and I can't wait to get my hands on her to do some Christmas pictures in a few weeks!

I did a shoot for John and Jontelle's Family out in the Bosque and, let me just tell ya, that whole family is a kick! They were so much fun! And I got some FANTASTIC shots of their two girls! I should have those up to display on the website soon.

Then I skipped town and spent a few glorious days fishing and taking pictures in Colorado. A million thanks to Kyle and Cherrie for the use of their cabin. I'm still working on finishing up the last few of the 10,000 or so pictures that I took... so they should be ready very very soon.

And these two lovely ladies are Shawn and Delaney. I dragged them all the way up the mountain in search of a waterfall which had, unfortunately dried up. Some waterfall huh? But the pictures came out pretty good anyways!

We don't need no stinkin' waterfall, right ladies!

The whole blog has been updated! YAY!
If you haven't heard the good news yet... I finally have a web-site up and running. Check it out at www.photographybymeghanwildgoose.com.
I decided I wanted to do something a little bit different (I know... can you believe it? Me? Different? No Way!)
I have so much fun on all of my photoshoots that I want to use the blog as a photographer's journal. After each photoshoot I'll post an entry about how things went along with a preview of my favorite shots from the day.
Two weeks is an eternity to wait when your excited and want to see your proofs... I know... I've done it. So here's a little preview for you that will be posted within a few days of the shoot.
